The Zig Zag indicator extracts the major movements of an indicator or security. It provides an excellent method of visualizing the true movement of an indicator or price.

Keep in mind that the most recent "leg" of the Zig Zag indicator always ends at the value on the last period of data being analyzed. Thus, you should not use the most recent leg of the indicator to base your decisions.

 

El indicador Zigzag extrae los movimientos mas importantes de un papel o su indicador. Provee un metodo excelente de visualizacion de los movimientos reales focalizandose en los picos mas importantes.

Teniendo en cuenta que la ultima parte grafica del indicador siempre finaliza en el ultimo valor del periodo analizado, no deberia tomarse en cuenta esta ultima parte del grafico para su toma de decisiones.
